American Legion Post 360, a veterans post organized in Warrenton in 1959 in Fauquier County Virginia. The founding members of American Legion Post 360 included Warrenton residents: Martin Brewer, a World War I veteran who served as the first Post Commander; Roland Tapscott, a Marine Corps veteran and Monford Point Marine who was recently honored by the President with the Congressional Freedom Medal; John Harrison, a former Liberty High School Principal and former Post Commander; John Williams, a former Post Commander who also served on the town council; Robert Chichester, who served in both the Marine Corps and US Army; and George Jolly, both former 360 Post Commanders.
Our current Post Commander is Larry Washington, Sr.

Local Initiatives
Community Service
and Involvement
The Charles R. Anderson American Legion Post 360 is dedicated to supporting the youth in our community through various programs and activities. We sponsor a local baseball team, provide scholarships to local students, and support the American Legion Junior Shooting Sports program. Additionally, we promote public speaking skills and civic engagement through oratorical contests, as well as sponsor local students for the Boys State and Boys Nation programs. We believe that investing in our youth is an investment in the future of our community, and we are proud to support their growth and development.
Veteran Support
We also offer career services, including a nationwide calendar of job fairs and other events, as well as guidance on veteran business ownership through the Veterans Career Center. Our post is dedicated to supporting veterans in need, including those who are homeless, through various programs such as mentorship and assistance with Veterans Court, as well as a food convoy. We also offer Honor Guard services for the funerals of veterans and provide support for those coping with PTSD and TBI.
Career Services
American Legion Post 360 offers comprehensive career services to veterans, including a nationwide calendar of job fairs and other events to help them find job opportunities. Additionally, our Veterans Career Center provides guidance on veteran business ownership and helps veterans start and run their own businesses. Our goal is to empower veterans and give them the resources they need to succeed in their chosen careers. Whether it's finding a job or starting a business, we are here to help veterans every step of the way.
